She holds a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and earned her PhD in Sociology from the University of California, San Francisco. Her research focuses on mental health services, suicide prevention, and the integration of digital tools into care delivery. She employs qualitative and mixed methods approaches to examine the experiences of both providers and patients. Her work has been featured in Health Sociology Review, Journal of Integrative and Complementary Medicine, Academic Medicine, Journal of Addiction Medicine, and others.
